You're How Old?

I have a few friends with quite a few big birthdays coming up so I'm prepping by making some cards and I want to share one with you today!

I started out by Stamping and coloring the Wryn from the "you've got mail" Wryn set.  I looooooove Wryn.  I decided to Paper Piece the top portion of her dress because I loved the pattern.

I then cut a 5X5 card with MFT's Razzle Berry Card Stock and layered some Authentique papers around the card. I matted Wryn onto a scalloped rectangle of Razzle Berry and placed her down.  She's also sponged in Jellybean Green Ink from MFT.

I added some ribbon and a oval with the sentiment "you're how old?" on it.  Added some pearls and a bow and she's ready for her closeup!

I've decided to enter her in the following challenges:

Wish me luck!

Mastering Pleats

I have spent so much time trying to master the pleats technique.  Tutorial after tutorial, oh how I've practiced.  Now, I still have a LOOOOONG way to go, but I feel like I'm making headway.

Here's my newest card!

First I colored the adorable Celebrate Joyfully Wryn by Tiddle Inks

I used the Ah-Mazing MFT Stamps Heavyweight card stock in Snow Cone as my base.  Then a layer of Kraft and Cherry Red.  I stamped the "enjoy your day" sentiment over and over again in the Cherry Red MFT Stamps Ink.  I love it because it exactly matches the cards tock.  The rectangular and square panels are made using My Mind's Eye papers matted over more Kraft card Stock.

I cut two labels with the MFT Dies: Sentiments and a Crochet Border as well.

Topped it off with a cherry red button with a twine bow.

I kept the inside simple with matted squares of smooth white over cherry red.

Hope you like it!

I decided to enter this in my first challenges!

I didn't have to enter more than one but I was SOOOOO happy with how this turned out that I decided to enter a second image to the design team call.

I really love Tiddly Inks, can you tell!!!

This card uses the clear stamp "Happy Mail Wryn".  It's awesome and fun to color.

I used the following Copics:

Hair: E 21, E25 and E29

WISH ME LUCK!  I really want to get onto this team.

Copic Coloring

Good Sunday Morning!

Yesterday, I set out to experiment with pleating.  I've been watching tons and tons of videos on you tube.  I love Kit and Clowder's the best.  Check out her you tube channel too!

I decided to use two adorable images from Tiddly Inks, Too Cute to Spook Wryn and Happy Mail Wryn.

For Spook Wryn, I concentrated on the folds on her dress to make it look like it folded on herself.  I paid close attention to the shadows on her arms too!

I used the following Copics:
Skin; E000, E00, E21 and E11
Hair: Y21, YR24, E15
Dress: W3, W5 and W7
Mouse W1, W0
Shoes: R24, R27, R29

For Happy Mail Wryn, I concentrated on blending out the pleats as well as I could.  I picked colors I know I blend well.

Skin: E000, E00, E21 and E11
Hair: E11, E13, E15 and E19
Dress/Shoes: YG97, YG95 and YG93
V17, V15, V12

I hope you see some improvement!

MY FIRST BLOG POST!!!!!!!!

Some lovely ladies on FB convinced me to start blogging, so here goes.

My name is Alisa, and I'm a mommy to three lovely littles.  A is 8, J is 6 and E is 2!  They sure do keep me busy.

Copics have quickly become my passion, I've been using them for about a month and a half.

Here is my first card that I'd like to share with you.  I *think* I'm entering the Tiddly Inks Design Competition so wish me luck!

I decided to color the really awesome Digital Image Poppy by Tiddly Inks.  I love the way her hair hangs straight down.  I'm a curly haired girl so coloring straight makes me happy.

I used the following Copics:

Skin: E000, E00, E21 and E11
Hair: E29, E27, E25, E23 and E21
Flowers: Y19, Y17, Y15 and Y13
Leaf: G28, G24 and YG63
Clothes: YG97, YG95, YG93, V17, V15, V12

I hope you like!
